Park Inn by Radisson is a business hotel situated in Westlands along Waiyaki Way. It is 5km away from the Nairobi city center and 22km away from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Booking about 20 days before arrival is ideal as you save up-to 20% using Trip Advisor.

The check in and check out hours are 3:00pm and noon, respectively.

They have two main room options; the standard room and superior room. The Standard room goes for Ksh13,700 ($135). It is 27 meters squared and can hold a maximum of two guests. The Superior room goes for Ksh20,800 ($205), inclusive of breakfast. It is 40 square meters and can hold a maximum of 4 guests. Besides that, it offers panoramic city views.

Pictured are a few shots of the superior room.

They have two mains restaurants.

The in-house restaurant and terrace bar located on the ground floor.

The rooftop lounge bar on 11th floor with amazing views.

Exclusive use of the gym and pool is part of the room payment.

My take

Being a business hotel, there's not much to expect because most people staying here come for short stays so they haven't really done much to make the place that cosy.

The rooms are airy and let in a lot of natural light (who doesn't like natural lighting for some good photos?). I also loved that the curtains were quite thick, shutting out any possible light - perfect for mornings you want to sleep in.

I'd definitely recommend the superior room as it comes with breakfast which goes for about Ksh3000-4500, (I don't quite remember) for buffet. Alternatively, you could opt for the standard room and check out earlier to go for breakfast elsewhere.

I wouldn't recommend a weekend stay as the hotel is in Westlands and there happen to be quite a number of clubs in the area so the noise could be an issue.

They don't allow taking of photos which I found quite odd because, how exactly are people who don't know about you going to know about you if you don't let those that do take photos, you know? Or maybe it was because it was a camera and cameras draw attention? I don't know. But i found that extremely weird.

Lastly, check in on time !! Get value for your money. Whether it's swimming, throwing in a work out, enjoying being in the room besides sleeping, lol. Do it !
