High tea at the Giraffe Manor
Updated: Mar 27, 2020
Giraffe numbers all over Africa are under serious threat due to vanishing habitats and poaching.
After going to the Giraffe Centre numerously last year, I thought I had gotten over my giraffe obsession. Going for high tea at the Giraffe Manor proved me wrong.
Before the Giraffe Manor became a hotel, it was a breeding centre for the highly endangered Rothschild giraffe and it remains so to this day.
The hotel has 12 rooms and can accommodate upto 29 guests. For more details visit https://www.thesafaricollection.com/properties/giraffe-manor/ . It is quite the tourist attraction and gets booked all year round.
If you would love a nice chilled afternoon with a fantastic view, a warm cup of tea/coffee, an assortment of pastries and giraffes to marvel at, I’d highly recommend the Giraffe Manor high tea. It goes for $50 per person and runs from 4:30pm-6:30pm on Sundays. It is advised to book in advance to secure your spot.
Many thanks to Bart for the lovely invite and to Tony and his team for being so warm and hospitable.
